Do you build the boxes or just design them?

I am now working with builders to custom make a box for you if desired. This is a new process and I am working with different builders so build times may vary, but if you are interested in this then please message me for a quote. If you would just like the design, they can be taken to professionals to be made from my specs or you can build it yourself, or grab some family and friends and make it a DIY project.

 

Why do I need a custom enclosure?

The box is huge factor in sound output in terms of both quality and loudness. A prefab (pre-built) enclosure can be a huge waste of money AND output. A lot of people come to me after buying expensive subwoofers and wondering why they don’t sound like the professionals who run the same subs and its because of the box! Once you go custom, you never go back. A custom enclosure will unleash the full potential of your speakers, while also being custom fit to your vehicle or space.

What is included with my purchase of a design?

I provide you with a 3D model of your custom box in different stages of the build, as well as a text document with all the information and specs on the box and tips for building it, including the size each piece of wood needs to be. I can provide screen shots of the 3D model with any dimensions labeled as well. I am available before, during, and after for any questions.

How long does it take to get the design?

All of my designs are custom from scratch, but I still pride myself on having a quick turn around time. The majority of my designs are finished the same day they are ordered. Even larger projects are usually completed within 24 hours.

What do I need to build one?

There are multiple ways to build a box but usually the minimum required tools are a table saw, jigsaw, and some wood glue. A drill, wood screws, and caulk are also very common to use. You also of course need the wood, usually ¾ inch MDF or birch.

How long does it take to build a box?

This will depend on your skill level, your tools, and the complexity of the box you are trying to build. It usually takes a few hours from starting until the box is ready to sit so the glue can dry. 24 hours after this, your box is ready to play! I have had more experienced builders knock out the building process in under an hour.

Do you make designs in standard and metric measurements?

Yes, I have designed plenty of boxes using both standard and metric measurements.

How much does a custom design cost?

Pricing does depend on the size and complexity of your design. I do aim for my designs to be more affordable than other designs on the market. If you message me with your vehicle or dimensions you want a box to be in, along with what speakers you are going to use, I will get back to you with a free quote.

Refund Policy

For designs only: If I have not started on the design yet and you request a refund, you may receive the refund.
If your design is already in progress, it is at my discretion to provide a refund, be it partial or full.

For physical box purchases: If I have not started on the design yet and you request a refund, you may receive the refund.
If your design is already in progress, it is at my discretion to provide a refund, be it partial or full.
Once any materials have been purchased for your build, it is at my discretion to provide a partial refund.

If construction of the box has started, a refund will not be issued.

Custom boxes can take several weeks from payment until they are ready to be shipped or picked up, please be patient.
